Today I went and got a pixie cut. I walked into the salon not knowing exactly what I wanted, but what I did know was that I wanted a pixie cut.
I’ve been growing out my hair for almost 2 years now. It hasn’t been cut since the beginning of my senior year of high school. The haircut I sported all throughout high school was a chin to shoulder length bob. I got tired of that, so I grew out my hair, then I got tired of that a month ago, so today I went and got almost all my hair cut off.
I sat down in the chair feeling alright. The hairdresser draped the plastic guard over my body and the chair, then proceeded to cut. He tied an elastic around my hair and cut off an 8 inch ponytail. That’s when I got nervous. And because of a misunderstanding with the hairdresser, my bangs got cut shorter than I wanted, but I’m working around it, and has learned to love it. Too short bangs? No problem!
The only thing left is to go buy hair wax, because hair paste/cream and hair gel don’t work too well. I wait until my hair is longer to use those.
(p.s. I got told that I look like a lesbian by both my mom and one of my best friends today. Fun fun.)
